Where is the Storybook Princess Character Dining located?

The Storybook Princess Dining experience is located at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which is situated within the Norway Pavilion in the World Showcase area of Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is easily recognizable by its medieval castle-like architecture and is adjacent to the iconic attraction "Frozen Ever After."

How expensive is it to eat at Akershus?

This one isn't cheap. For adults it costs $67 and for kids $43, not including tax and gratuity.

What is the food like?

The Princess Storybook Dining experience at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot offers a Norwegian-inspired family-style meal with a variety of options to cater to different tastes.

The meal started out with a field greens salad with a lingonberry vinaigrette. They also served Lefse with a cardamom cinnamon butter.

Is the food good?

To be honest I had heard some mixed reviews surrounding the food at Akershus but I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious!

The salmon was flavorful and Lila ended up having two portions along with an extra serving of the red cabbage.

The Norwegian meatballs weren't our favorite but we did like the lingonberry preserves and mashed potatoes they were served with. All of the sides were tasty, especially the green beans and of course Lila's favorite red cabbage.

What about my picky eaters?

If you have picky eaters the corndog nuggets and mac and cheese should suit their tastes.

However, if you or your kiddos are ultra picky this may not be the character dining experience for you.

Which princesses will we meet at Akershus?

Guests have the opportunity to meet FIVE Disney Princesses during the Princess Storybook Dining experience. The specific princesses can vary, but typically you can expect to meet and interact with a selection of the following characters:

  1. Snow White
  2. Tiana
  3. Belle
  4. Princess Aurora
  5. Ariel

Each princess is announced and comes out one at a time over the course of about an hour. They make their way to each table and spend time talking to guests, signing autographs and taking pictures.

Do I need a reservation to Akershus in EPCOT?

Yes. This is a very popular experience so, especially if you have a larger group, I recommend reserving in advance.

You can do so through your Disney Genie app or online at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/akershus-royal-banquet-hall/.

OUR REVIEW: Is the Storybook Princess Dining Experience worth it?

The short answer is YES. I do think this one is worth the money, especially if you have a princess lover with you.

We were so pleasantly surprised not only by the quality and flavor of the food, but by the number for princesses we got to meet.

Each character was announced and came out one by one. They made sure to stop by each table to talk, sign autographs and take pictures.

The look on my daughter's face was all the proof I needed that this is Disney magic at its finest!
